Happy Valentine’s Day

I got a call last night from someone who had taken an order for 2 dozen roses for me to deliver to my special girl yesterday and they said sorry but I was not in their delivery radius.

I looked over to Karen and she knew already.

Thirty-five years of marriage will do that to you.

In typical fashion, she was genuinely touched that I had tried to get it done. That’s how she is.

I wish everyone on this planet no matter what, where, or who, the same joy I get when I look over to my wife and once again, feel grateful that she walked down Stearns Wharf in Santa Barbara and into my life.

Thanks again, God.

There are no divisions in this civilization unless we make them up and enforce and reinforce them. So what do we learn from this?

Which country is best?

There are NONE better than others; there are only bigger countries. Bigger, though many times popular, is not always the way to go. I know, I was on both the giving and receiving end of going to blows with fellows much larger than myself (shots of V.O. and Bud chaser=courage).

The irony of this day of Love is once again, our brains have betrayed us, and the world sits on the precipice of war. As smart as Putin thinks he is, as smart as Trump thinks Putin is, as smart as Biden and his administration think they are, we have ALL failed as soon as the first shot is fired.

What was it that separates humankind from the rest of the plant and animal kingdoms?

Oh yeah, the ability to think; to reason.

I’ll take mine rare.

I was glad to see the Canadian truckers disperse rather peacefully. I have a great deal of respect for truckers and the vital role they play in society.

So spread the love today.

Stay well.
