I can’t wait for this election to get over with so we can go through more of the same: divisive legislative and judicial branches getting it wrong or doing nothing at all, which would actually be a better option for those of us with the ability of critical thinking.

My wife of thirty-seven years told me I am a sexist pig because I used the term “cantaloupian” to describe a particularly well-built actress (I may have also just invented a new adjective). I thought I was just using a clever substitute for the oft-used melonious which, if I used that, I’m sure would have been met with the same level of disdain.

National Guardsmen in the hallways of our schools? Once again, speaking with no horse in the race having never fathered a child, I must say I would be fine with that. I was in several different schools due to our military life, including one in rural South Carolina as well as an inner-city East L.A. high school where I was once shot while watching two gang members fighting.
High school can be a dangerous place, but only for those seeking it. Getting good grades, chasing girls, and fronting a rock and roll band kept me well insulated from the crazy dudes and their antics.
I bet there was more than one high school student freaking out this morning when their cell phones stopped working.

I set my phone down all day long and don’t notice it’s missing. Hell, I think I lost five of them (so far).
The Domestic Despot can’t fathom being untethered from her phone.
