As you may, or may not know, I was not blessed with a plethora of patience.
And that was at birth.
Now add seventy years’ worth of life on planet Earth, and I have next to zero left in the tank.
I’ve always had a hard time with stupidity.
Ignorance is hard to find fault with if it is due to access; we still, as a supposedly advanced society, need to address and fix this. Free food in schools is a start, but include breakfast and you will win the hearts of mothers forever.
But we’ve heard it before.
I refuse to write about politics in this blog because I truly believe there is too much division in our country without further polarization added by my words.
My patience has almost run out as I watched the weak effort of Manchester United as they travelled to face Arsenal in the rain.
Here are my thoughts:
The team should line up, strip, and have their genitals removed.
Drastic you say?
They are already playing like a bunch of pussies anyway.
New system?
Football is a game with its roots going back thousands of years.
The goal is to score more than your opponent in every game.
Can I make it any clearer to you oft-injured, oft-underperforming, oft-outhustled, out-played millionaires?
You are being played to play a game.
Scratch that.
You are being paid to win trophies and bring glory to Man Utd.
Period.
Start by making each player wear a compass around their necks like cowbells. This way they can find the direction on the pitch which is TOWARD their opponent’s goal and AWAY from their own goal.
I swear, as soon as anyone (even the strikers) gains possession of the ball, they don’t want to make a mistake, so backwards the ball goes, usually lackluster and slow and often picked off by their foes.
Also, we literally give away shots on goal by not marking closely in the box.
I was just giving manager Ruben Amorim a dose for saying there would be struggles ahead, but now, I am starting to finally accept it: we need a major overhaul which includes replacing the entire roster, if necessary.
We need the Manchester United Do or Die! Attitude and swagger back!
But now we must go earn it with a new roster; I just hope they give this guy the players he wants to manage.
The Manchester derby is approaching soon, and it will be of interest to see how the match is played.
My expectations?
110% effort.
My limited patience doesn’t allow for anything else.
Stay well.
