Even my wife Karen, the most non-competitive-everyone-should-get-a-trophy person on Earth will watch an exciting NCAA tournament basketball game. As far as the NBA goes, she has even taken a liking to Jimmy Butler and she doesn’t like Lebron so she’s a hater, too.
I think the last second buzzer beaters for a big underdog team are the best.
That is the crux of sports. There are so many story lines, pick one.
Since I do not follow any hoops games during the season, I really don’t have much critical thought about the tournament brackets anymore, but I’ll fill out both for the men’s and women’s anyway.
But I don’t bet anymore.
Retirement will do that to you.
In a major weather turnaround, it is brilliantly sunny today in southern Ohio.
They gave me the bad news after my angiogram on Thursday. They were checking my blood flow in my left leg (already amputated below the knee) to see if there was good enough flow to provide for healing if they did a bone revision to cut the protruding femur and insure it does not open another sore in my leg.
But alas and alack, they discovered that one of the major stents they had previously placed in my femoral artery had completely collapsed and that is why I still have an active wound after surgery done five years ago.
So, I just have to bite the bullet and get it scheduled.
Moving on…
It looks like the facts behind the late great actor Gene Hackman and his wife are out. At the ripe old age of 95, Mr. Hackman passed from natural causes.
His wife contacted the deadly hantavirus and passed away from complications.
Rest in peace.
That crypto fraudster Sam Bankman-Fried, the dumbass who stole 8 billion dollars, is no longer in general population. After his unauthorized interview with that other douchebag Tucker Carlsen, he has been moved to a cell containing the biggest douchebag north of the Pecos…himself.
I dig Alabama.
I played many of their great golf courses including the famed Robert Trent Jones Trail.
Not their football team, but I am really digging the Speedy Trial Act the state legislature passed. This fast tracks violent criminal cases and cuts the time that convicted criminals spend awaiting trial and the justice they so richly deserve.
Move ‘em in, move ‘em out!
Texas, once again flaunting their liberalism, are considering a bill that would actually charge transgender people with the crime of gender identity fraud.
In the great state of Tennessee, they are proposing a bill that would require DNA samples for all felony offenses.
Why is that not standard operating procedure nationwide?
And don’t give me any of that invasion of privacy bullshit, either.
You commit a felony, shut the fuck up.
We have to feed and house your worthless crime-committing ass at no cost to you. And if you don’t like it, use your head. There are plenty of ways to cut short your sentence, but they all require you to die.
