Republicans blamed Democrats and in many regards, it is coming to light they were closer to the truth than they appeared.
We got it in the form of schools and other youthful institutional settings.
And the body count kept on climbing…
Respect for law enforcement was at an all-time low and when you mix those emotions with fear and distrust, we remember what it was like.
It sucked.
It wasn’t that long ago.
It’s why this country went in a totally different direction in the recent presidential election.
And at least we know this.

I make no attempt to hide my disdain for social media idiots that scream for attention, even if it means breaking the law. Some dumbass tried to reach the reclusive (and known killers of strangers to the island) tribe of Indians that inhabit Sentinel island.
Now, I can only hope that he gets the maximum five years in prison to think about what a desperate dumbass he is.
This is my secondary hope.

You can’t go one day without seeing a story on yet another person, place, or institution that has been issued yet another threat by our country.
Growing up, the guys who did most of the threatening were the bullies. These were the guys that talked the loudest and flexed their might with absolutely no provocation required.
And they issued threats.

I actually remember the days when we were truly the preeminent world power and we were so badass that other countries knew it and wouldn’t dare provoke us for fear of the repercussions.

Increasing the tariffs against Chinese products in response to their response on our initial 50% tariffs on Chinese goods seems a little redundant. I mean, at what point do you stop? When Chinese goods get as out of hand as American products?
Every time I see pictures of Dubai, I am tempted to go there.
But then I remember: I hate long flights, standing in line, and people in general, so I think about something else.
