Ripped From the Headlines

A tourist fell into an active volcano when she lost her footing. The initial autopsy ruled she succumbed to her injuries, bleeding out in about twenty minutes.

Twenty minutes.

Think of that: you have broken your arms and legs which are bleeding and you helplessly slowly bleed out as a toxic cloud floats overhead.

Add Honduras and Nicaragua as two more countries that are persona non potatoes au gratin. To the 50,000 persons affected, don’t let the door hit ya….

You know the rest.

Watching the United States Men’s National Soccer (football) team was just as good as taking a Xanax.

Talk about ho-hum.

I like Maricio Pochettino, the Argentine who is managing the team. His style is very laid-back and hands-off, preferring to trust his tactics and judgment gleaned through years of managing at the very highest levels.

He also trusts his players, probably as much as any manager.

Problem: you can afford to trust your players when they are named Son Heung-min and Harry Kane, but the USMNT are far from world-class players. They need to learn how to be a team; how to compete, and finally, how to win. These are the steps Poch has to take and the World Cup is fast approaching.

Good luck, boys.

So Jeffrey Epstein committed “suicide” in jail, and guess what?

No incriminating little black books to be found anywhere.

Go figure.

Don’t trust anybody.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia has to be able to take a hint… ICE will deport him if he is released from prison.

Dude.

You are gonna go sooner or later, one way or another.

I told my wonderful spouse Karen, the Domestic Despot, that “if Cardi B. knew I was in southern Ohio, she’d be here so fast your head would spin.”

She hasn’t stopped laughing…

Scientists discover something that exists between life and not life.

The first thing scientists need to discover is a dictionary which would let them know that the word for “not life” is death.

Dumbasses.

I am absolutely pro-education, so here’s an idea: how about instead of limping along with an anemic budget for the Most Important Vocation on Earth, we put a pause to looking for the origins of life at the bottom of the ocean or up in the stars somewhere, put the money where it will benefit the MOST people (like every citizen on Planet Earth), unlike usual government policies, and actually have something to look forward to again?

Do I have to say it?

Boom!

I did it again.

I’m not in full agreement with the Tennessee law that tries to do the parenting job on minors by denying bullies the right to drive. You can be as punitive as you want, but the only thing that bullies understand is getting their ass beat up by a bigger bully.

Or parents that actually give a damn.

Trust me on that one.

A nut job in Pennsylvania shot, decapitated his father, and posted a 14-minute video on YouTube about it.

I don’t think the video is going to help in his trial.

I should know.

I watch Law and Order.

Stay well.
