Halloween for adults.
That’s what the Met Gala has devolved into. I had no idea there has been 78 Met Galas; another fact that has eluded me whilst I still maintain my mental prowess. In the pictures I was unable to avoid (they came upon my phone screen without asking) all I saw were desperate, pathetic attempts of has-beens, wannabes, and never-will-be’s shouting out, “Hey, look at me!”
Case-in-point: that old porky broad Madonna doing absolutely everything she could to detract viewing from her wrinkled crepe paper skin and age lines with seven blindfolded minions to hold the train of her dress.
Shallow douchebags.
The race for governor of the once-great state of California is just a reshuffling of the deck of wannabes to see which dumbass will ascend to the third-most powerful political position in the United States.
And continue to screw over the residents.
And line their pockets.
Welcome to politics in America.
Mariska Hargitay is another one who has stayed too long at the fair…
Time to hang it up Olivia Benson; you had a good, long run.
But it’s over.
And just to show this is not a sexist post, I’ll include that other old fossil Jack McCoy (Sam Waterston).
Thanks for the memories, but how can we miss you if you won’t leave?
Enjoy your multi-millions in retirement.
Now you won’t have to worry about Trump messing around with your Social Security money.
So that little old bird Nancy Pelosi is making some savvy business moves to increase her net worth by three million dollars on the stock market.
If she were a Republican, the stories of this no-nod-wink-wink thievery would be everywhere.
Walgreens has closed many locations because of the low-life scum-sucking losers who kept stealing their inventory, and people are all up-in-arms about it, accusing the company of “corporate abandonment.”
Piss off.
This is just another case of the reshaping of retail to totally transition online where (it should be) harder to steal and get away with it.
I don’t blame them a bit.
If people weren’t so inherently bad and dishonest, it would not be necessary.
After watching Charlize Theron in Apex was almost painful.
Oh, the movie itself is mediocre, but there was nothing novel in the story and in preparing for the physical challenges of the role, someone forgot to tell Charlize that she still needed to actually “act” to have viewers invest themselves in the movie story.
Instead she came off as hard and clinical, a look she does not seem capable of producing.
Fail.
A bible teacher from Florida finally got fed up with an interruptive loquacious student. Fed up enough to tape the student’ mouth shut and now teachers everywhere are asking questions.
Like, “Where can I get some of that tape?”
Shooting deaths are always tragic and now, in today’s volatile socio-political climate, just being in the same vicinity of a gun’s range which is just about EVERYWHERE, is dangerous and even perilous.
Those “unintentional” deaths should not lessen the severity of punishment because this is murder, plain and simple.
Not murder one, because there was no intent and you know the prosecution is going to argue depraved indifference, (showing off my many seasons of Law and Order viewership). But we could easily hit them with murder two or at least manslaughter one, but with our bastardized judicial process and the laughable time spent in “rehabilitation,” crime is just another viable option for some people.
Stay well.
