Culling the Herd

As the Covid virus continues to morph into more transmittable deadly strains like the Delta variant, once again crippling our nation, there are still people (more than half of the US population) who are not getting vaccinated.

Fine.

More for the rest of us.

I wouldn’t kiss your ass to get a shot, because frankly, less ignorant people on this planet are a good thing, and you are just taking up valuable oxygen that a beautiful plant or tree could use.

It is painfully obvious that the Olympics should not have happened. More cases of these healthy, world-class athletes contacting the virus make it obvious that the games should, at the very minimum, be delayed.

Stop the Games NOW.

And if these paragons of health and fitness are becoming infected, what makes the fat, sedentary fools think they are sacrosanct and impervious to any deleterious effects?

Or their children?

They are the ones that have to live with the decisions of their parents.

I don’t know; call me crazy. But I was under the impression a parent’s role was to protect their children from all harm.

Ignorance breeds ignorance.

How about the concept of the “greater good?”

Being part of society means contributing in your own small way for the “greater good.”

Mowing your lawn, paying your taxes, protecting the citizens of your community (your children are examples), are all minimal requirements to be a member of a community.

Maybe you just like being in your own community.

The community of fools.

Moving forward, who is to say that this whole viral disease thing isn’t marking The Beginning of the End?

I am not a caustic person, but it has been predicted (Nostradamus) that virus will eliminate most of the world’s population (ala the Plague).

Now I never got into the highly popular series The Walking Dead or any of the offshoots about zombies, and in spite of my wife’s insistence and explanations about how zombies became that way because their brains were eaten away, now, I am actually less of a disbeliever in that possibility.

As long as there are people who don’t care whether they live or die (or whether their children live or die), then we will surely perish from something.

Just don’t let man’s epitaph be “We died from stupidity.”

I’m done with this rant, but you know me, I can’t keep quiet on the things I find offensive, ignorant, racist, myopic, or just plain stupid.

I am still hopeful that there will be an epiphany in the hearts of the unknowing and misled, that they truly DON’T KNOW they were misguided.

I’m also a realist; the scary high numbers of Covid deaths have subsided to around 50 deaths per day.

That’s fifty dead mothers, fathers, and grandparents. Unfortunately, young people are now becoming increasingly infected, and even dying from the virus.

Every day.

I know I just said I am done this with rant; I hope there will come a day in whatever time God has left for me, that it won’t be an issue, but I’m not expecting much.

That’s stupid.

Stay well.
