One More Time

Today at 10:30 EST I check into the hospital for a very short stay (I hope) as the vascular surgeon will be cleaning out my right corraded artery and putting yet another stent in my beautiful brown body. That makes a total of 9 and three of those were lost to amputation.

I know I said I would be back, but with yet another caveatiIt was humid today, but it is totally badass in the early morning before the world wakes up.

I was starting to have second thoughts about putting an in-ground pool in the back yard, but since we are having a rotting shed removed, we will open up even more space for Murphy and Bruiser.

So I think the pool is back on.

My Manchester United Reds were lucky (and skillful David DeGea, very skillful indeed) as they survived yet another trip to West Ham and got the three points to keep up the race in the Premier League..

Of course Ronaldo had to score on a follow-up to a very balletic touch towards the goalkeeper. It’s like he has to personally remind the world that he still “has it” every time he touches the ball.

Glory United!

I couldn’t see much NFL today as I was breaking down a roomful of boxes and more boxes, and boxes with more boxes inside.

Karen is getting me ready to head into the hospital for pre-op and it looks like it is gonna rain today. I can only pray and hope, but I don’t feel like I am ready to go anywhere yet, so I am already looking forward to coming home on Tuesday to my stinky puppies.

I am not lookin forward to getting my arms poked into again as I am just feeling like a pin cushion that finally healed up and here we go again.

But since I don’t feel like performing the surgery myself, I will just relax and put my future in the hands of the capable medical professionals in the hospital. I have always had a healthy respect for them, and even more so now as I approach my own surgery which I hope will be my last.

I keep trying to get better, but Karen is still having to carry the brunt of the workload.

This is very emasculating and the very worst of the effects of being infirmed. I was told this surgery is a one night stay in the hospital and that should be the end of the vascular issues.

There are lot of American flags blowing in the early winds today and it is one of the cool things about driving around this neck of the woods.

Very patriotic.

So give me a couple more days to get back up on my feet again to finish unpacking and finally giving Karen some more help as we anticipate a contractor to help us get things like we want them.

Barring any unforeseen events, I will post my next blog for Wednesday.

Stay well.
