Stay With Me Now

Lego says their new billion dollar plant they are building in Vietnam will be “all green.”

Talk about a load.

How can it be all green if those indestructible pieces made of nothing natural from this planet are being produced there?

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of stepping on a few of them you know…

All green my granola.

Attorney General Pam Bondi, that blonde badass, announces seizure of 510 million dollars of illegal drugs from vessels linked to cartels.

I wonder if she’s gonna turn it all in?

That is, to say, it is great if she is turning in 510 million dollars,  but not as great if they found 540 million dollars’ worth of drugs.

The stock market is bouncing back. As it has done 100% of the time that it has gone down and yet the same dumbasses that were vilifying Trump a few days ago, are acting like he just made the sun disappear in an eclipse.

It’s economics you idiots.

And what is it with the Hudson River and plane crashes? Six people, including three kids, were killed on a helicopter tour. If not for the heroics of Captain Sullenberger (Sully, remember him?), the death toll from air fatalities in the river would be much higher.

I was glad to see the interest rates take a dip last week. This world is hard enough to get through without having your own place to live, grow, and have a family if you want.

I watched with high hopes (what’s the definition of insanity again?) as my Reds travelled to France to take on Olympique Lyonnaise in the Europa Cup quarterfinal.

I was amazed that we were actually on the verge of posting a vital 2-1 victory to take home to Old Trafford for the deciding second leg.

I remember the days when Cup opponents would need to have a good showing at home because Old Trafford was such a formidable place to post a win.

But a late equalizer sends us home to complete the second leg and hopefully, send the Reds to the semifinals.

As a diehard fan, of course we will open up a can of whoopass at home and storm into the semis.

As a realist, we have to get more production from our offense and we can’t appear to be able to stop anyone on defense. That is a bad combination if United want to entertain serious hopes to win silver and qualify for the financially lucrative Champions League competition next year.

I am still not sold on Ruben Amorim as a manager, even after giving him a break for assuming a team with aging, overpaid, oft-injured, has-beens and never-will-be’s.

And no money.

It doesn’t matter.

He should be winning more matches.

Well now we can all breathe easier.

Know that when you go to sleep tonight you are a little safer from the woes of the world.

North Macedonia has opted to align with the United States as a “strategic partner.”

10 bucks if you can point it out on a map.

Stay well.
