One of the Dumbass Doctors—Phil or Oz (I can’t remember which) has posited that with the age expectancy climbing, the first person who will reach 200 years of age in their lifetime has already been born.
Can you friggin’ even imagine being two-hundred?
If you are young, of course not.
Hell, you probably can’t even imagine being forty; I know I didn’t when I was young.
So don’t grow up too soon, or worse, rush your kids through their childhood into adulthood.
Another thing I have trouble trying to figure out are student protests that end with a walkout.
For those of you who are unaware, there are students in western Washington who are not going to school to protest the recent ICE behavior in Minnesota.
So you will delay your own graduation date just so you can give that fast-aging politician Kristi Noem yet another old-age line on her mug?
That’s cold.
And stupid.
Go to school.
First there were nice parts of the country with a reputation for kindness and hospitality.
Then it went down to a few states that seemed more hospitable than others.
Then a certain part of town.
When it becomes necessary, there will be known “sanctuary homes.”
I am just glad I won’t be here to see it.
As age limits change and people take longer to die, there will have to be some changes.
The Olympic Games, for example.
Do you want to see a 175-year-old man race a twenty-year old?
You’d better be giving some pretty good odds.
Politics.
We have already seen our leaders aging out of their useful lives before our very eyes and it is not a pretty sight. The only defense to it is to elect younger leaders who don’t seem to give a damn about anything but themselves (Thanks DJT), so that doesn’t sound like much of a change from the same stale spew of imperialism and acquisition that the older buzzards were raised with and continue to propagate.
It’s no wonder the next generations have such a sense of nihilism; they can’t see any end to this political dans macabre we are involved in and they see no way out, so they want theirs NOW.
Not tomorrow.
Not later.
Instant wealth.
Instant global recognition.
Instant everything.
And they don’t care how they get it (thanks again DJT).
So with all his bullshit, bullying, stealing, fraud and tariffs, the government may still shut down.
Where the fuck is all this new found wealth going?
Where else?
In TrumpWorld the rich get richer—just like in real life.
Nitwits like Elon Musk who has never invented anything that actually worked, get richer. Billionaire elitist racists like Linda McMahon get richer. The entire fraternity of thieves on Capitol Hill get richer.
You think you are a slave to your job?
Not even close.
Politicians will and have, done anything and everything to protect their means to an end.
Let’s just hope the end doesn’t become THE END.
